Arrival Day
Kilimanjaro Airport to Arusha (Ritzy Arcadia Hotel)
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to Ritzy Arcadia Lodge in Arusha. The scenic drive introduces you to northern Tanzania’s charming towns, farmland, and lush landscapes.
Depending on your arrival time, you can relax at the lodge, explore Arusha’s local markets, or enjoy a short city walk. In the evening, meet your professional safari guide for a briefing about the Serengeti safari and Ngorongoro safari, including tips for wildlife spotting and cultural insights to maximize your short Tanzania safari experience.
Day 1
Arusha to Ngorongoro Crater (Overnight at Eileen’s Trees Inn)
After breakfast, depart from Arusha and drive towards the Ngorongoro Crater, passing scenic hills, farmland, and Maasai villages. Upon arrival, descend into the crater for a full day of Ngorongoro safari.
The crater is a natural wonder and home to a rich variety of wildlife. Spot the Big Five lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, and rhinos alongside zebras, wildebeest, hippos, and flamingos near the crater lakes. Stop for a picnic lunch surrounded by dramatic landscapes, and take time to photograph this unique ecosystem.
In the late afternoon, drive to Eileen’s Trees Inn for dinner and overnight. The lodge offers comfort and tranquility, making it perfect for relaxing after an adventurous day of wildlife exploration.
Day 2
Ngorongoro to Serengeti (Overnight at Osinon Camp)
After breakfast, begin the scenic drive to Serengeti National Park, passing through rolling plains and small villages. On the way, enjoy a game drive with opportunities to spot lions, elephants, cheetahs, giraffes, and herds of antelope.
Arrive at Osinon Camp in the late afternoon, where you can relax and enjoy dinner. Take in the sounds of the Serengeti at dusk and prepare for an exciting final day of wildlife exploration. The camp offers comfortable accommodations and a true wilderness experience.
Day 3
Serengeti Game Drive and Return to Arusha
Start your day early with an exciting morning game drive in Serengeti National Park. Early morning is the best time to spot predators in action and observe wildlife activity.
Optional Activity – Hot Air Balloon Ride:
For a once-in-a-lifetime experience, you can choose an optional hot air balloon ride at sunrise over the Serengeti plains. This activity is not included in the safari price and requires an additional cost. The balloon ride lasts approximately 1 hour and includes transfers to and from the launch site. A post-flight champagne breakfast is usually offered by the balloon operator.
After breakfast (at the camp or post-balloon), begin the drive back to Arusha. Stop for a picnic lunch along the way, and enjoy the scenic countryside. Arrive at Ritzy Arcadia Lodge in the late afternoon for rest or an overnight stay before departure. Reflect on the wildlife encounters and breathtaking landscapes from your short Tanzania safari.
Departure Day
Transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport
After breakfast, your 3 Days Tanzania Safari comes to an end. You will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your flight home.
